Tooth whitening also known as tooth bleaching when utilizing bleach is either the restoration of a natural tooth shade or whitening beyond the natural shade.

A whitening polish:

This is also great for whitening teeth as it combines melaleuca oil and calcium to gently penetrate and remove excess plaque and bacteria for a shinier teeth. This has been known to help with cavities. It also gives your teeth a glassy professional cleaning feel and actually appear slightly whiter after use. It makes your mouth cleaner and fresher all day. A whitening pen:
